A week after Pearl Harbor, there was a tie in the Western Division of the NFL and while nobody was thinking football, a game was played between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field for the right to play in the NFL title game. While the Packers looked good, the Bears were too much at home and they won 33-14. The action photo offered shows Norm Standlee of the Bears as he scored a touchdown, sinking the hopes of the Packers. A rare field level action photo that displays pretty well with some handling wear and crazing of the surface from age. A touching image especially when put into the context of Pearl Harbor and WWII.
