1951 Portrait photograph of young underrated Hall of Famer Monte Irvin from the New York Giants in uniform. One of his better images we have handled, this captures the star with a reluctant grin. Irvin is one of the true pioneers of baseball who was actually pegged ahead of Jackie Robinson to break the color barrier by Branch Rickey at one point in time! The photograph is clean and clear with some foxing being the only real flaw.
