What Jackie Robinson meant to the game of baseball and the country in general can not be overstated, but it would be impossible to tell the tale of Jackie without a significant chapter on his teammate and friend Pee Wee Reese. It was Reese who stood up for Jackie in 1947 and embraced him in the face of racism and helped forge a bond of acceptance that allowed others to do the same for Jackie. Here we see the duo working out together and stretching before a game in full uniform. Wearing the 1951 Brooklyn jerseys, this is a clear and bold original in great shape issued by the International News and stamped on the back. This is a cool image we have never seen before.
