1941 Photograph of New York Yankees star Joe DiMaggio as he gives instructions about Yankee Stadium to a new rookie that had just been signed by the club. While unassuming at first, this image important because of the date, June 24th which meant on this day Joe was sitting at 35 games and would make it 36 a few hours after this photo was taken. While the nation was starting to take notice here, it was not the front page news it would become a few weeks later. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this shows the softer side of DiMaggio during his most famous season!
