1928 Had to feel like a big year for the Boston Braves. They had just added Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby to their roster and along with George Sisler, the two posed the biggest threat to pitchers outside the Bronx! Bad pitching did them in however and they nearly finished in last place! Here is a rare image of Hornsby in uniform with the Braves, a team he only played for during one season! Stamped on the back by Pacific and Atlantic, this is a high grade example with one tiny corner chip being the only flaw.
