Obscure Major Leaguer Claude Thomas played only 7 games at the highest level and would be just another "Cup of Coffee" player if not for two significant accomplishments. He was a 200 game winner in the minor leagues, and he was the man who taught the screwball to a youngster named Carl Hubbell, sending him on his way to the Hall of Fame. This is the ONLY original image of Thomas in Major League uniform we have ever seen and this exact image appears to be a new discovery. Condition is quite nice with some wear at the extreme upper right corner.
