1913 Silver gelatin photograph of baseball star Rube Marquard in California during a western tour and entertaining a crowd of fans in San Francisco by catching a ball dropped from the top of a ten-story building. Stamped on the back by the photographer Joseph Marron and also a secondary stamp from the west coast division of NEA, the image captures an event that was well publicized at the time and was even discussed in biographies on Marquard! Condition is nice with note to a single corner chip.
