1933 Spring training photograph of the biggest name in baseball Babe Ruth and the owner of the Yankees Jacob Ruppert as the two Hall of Famers pose together for a tense photograph during the height of a salary dispute. Ruth wanted $60,000 but Ruppert was offering $50,000. Despite not playing in any games, Ruth was working out with the team just in case they could reach an agreement. A rare photograph from the Associated Press and stamped on the back with a full paper caption, this exact photograph was used to make a baseball card of the two men in 1989 and the card is included in the auction for display. Condition and quality are both pretty nice.
