1922 Photograph of Babe Ruth as he sat in the stands in Washington DC and caught his Yankees from the spectators section of the ballpark after being suspended for barnstorming after the 1921 season. A seminal event in Ruth's career, this is an often reproduced image that we have not seen in original form offered for sale. This is a vintage original which was issued by Kadel and Herbert, stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well that presents well with a chip on the upper right corner. It mentions on the back that Calvin Coolidge himself tried to intervene on his behalf but could not change the mind of Judge Landis.
