After years of evading the Law, it took some crafty cops and a charge of Income Tax Evasion to finally land Al Capone in the slammer. This beautiful image shows Capone as he faced the court for his most famous trial. He looks confident but his eyes tell another story and show worry and fear. Capone would be convicted and serve a legendary term in Alcatraz before it was all said and done. Vintage photo is one of the best Capone images we have ever handled and condition is quite nice with a couple of tiny corner creases. Capone images are considerably rarer than people know as he spent much of his time avoiding cameras and the law with this one from the International News being a beauty!
