1966 Official NASA photograph of Edward White, Roger Chaffee and Gus Grissom as they pose for a group shot. Each is smiling as it seemed they had the whole world, and the Moon in their future. The three men would die in a terrible fire during training the next year and only a month after the date stamp on the back of this image in one of the worst disasters in space history. A rare image from NASA with the purple text on the back, this is a perfect condition specimen that is being offered here for the first time since it was tucked away in a newspaper archive fifty years ago (issued in 1967 when the trio were killed)!
