Seven years before he became the first man to set foot on the Moon, Neil Armstrong was a test pilot working with the futuristic X15 in the California Desert. The offered image from May 1962 shows the youthful pilot posed by his plane. Among the earliest images of this pioneer aviator for sale, he was not even a blip on the national radar but would be one of the most famous men alive by the decades end. Condition is quite nice overall with some very minor handling wear and a chip on the upper right corner.
