1938 Photograph of actor and writer Orson Welles as he appears like an orchestra leader, waving his hands about and directing the radio production of "War of the Worlds" which would become one of the most famous events of the era. Many tuned in late and never caught the disclaimer at the beginning explaining that it was fake, so thousands thought there was an actual alien invasion happening, some even committing suicide! An important event in American history, this is stamped on the back by the International News and is the only example of it's kind we have ever seen.
