Ed Tolan was Jesse Owens four years earlier without the drama surrounding the games. He won Gold Medals in both the 100 and 200 in Los Angeles in 1932 and was the Fastest Man Alive! He was known for his glasses, but also as one of the first superstar Black Track and Field Athletes in America. Before he took the Olympics by storm, Tolan was a star for the University of Michigan whose uniform he wears in this stunning example! Original 1930 photo is in nice condition grading a perfect 10/10 from the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. Truly a wonderful photo of this Black Pioneering Athlete.
