Interesting Jan 28, 1957 photograph (from the 1956-57 basketball season) showing the huge University of Kansas basketball sensation Wilt Chamberlain as he joins the fight against Polio and gets inoculated. Stamped on the back from the United Press, the paper caption notes this was from Lawrence, Kansas and was taken five years before his rookie basketball card was issued! The photo is actually in pretty nice shape with some corner creasing and a spot of discoloration from publication right over the needle. One of the earliest images of Chamberlain you will ever find.
