1928 Photo of Johnny Farrell who is best known for winning the US Open in a playoff over Bobby Jones. Farrell would finish second in two other Majors in his career (1929 Open Championship and PGA Championships) so notching a Major is probably the only thing that made those tough losses bearable for him. He was voted 1927 and 1928 Best Golf Professional in America and was one of the most popular Athletes in the Sport for years. When this photo was snapped in 1928 he was ON THE COURSE battling Jones making this an important piece of golf history in nice shape overall with some wear and creasing at the corners.
