The expectations were high for rookie Joe Namath as he entered his rookie season with the New York Jets in 1965. The team had spent $400,000 to sign him and all this with a bad knee. As he worked out for the first time under the watchful eye of coach Weeb Ewbank, all seemed to be right in the world. A famous photo by William Jacobellis, this is the only 1965 original we have seen in any form and the condition is fantastic. Comes with a full PSA Type 1 letter as well.
