One of the most incredible college football players of all time was Jim Brown, he did everything he needed to do to win the Heisman Trophy, but he was denied the hardware for one reason… the color of his skin! Here he does his best to try and sway the voters by striking the pose himself in uniform with Syracuse in one of the first instances of a player striking the Heisman pose, but it was all for not; the nation was not ready. He would take some solace in the fact that his protege Ernie Davis would become the first black player to win the award four years later. A rare image in great shape that transcends football into the social fabric of America!
