1924 Unique action photograph from the moments before the opening kickoff of the Michigan v. Illinois football game in Champaign and taken just before Red Grange took the ball 95 yards and vaulted himself into the spotlight as the greatest player in football history. It is hard to imagine a more important action photo exists as this was literally taken the moment that football changed forever. This kickoff return led to the legend of Red Grange which in turn led to his stardom and fame and ultimately the success of the NFL!
