Large 1950 batting photograph of Ted Williams from the Boston Red Sox in full uniform and taking some hacks with Fenway Park in the background. One of his most famous images, this was used for both his 1950 and 1951 Bowman baseball cards! Blank backed and issued by the team, the photo is clearly off the original negative and it presents well with tape at the corners being the only flaw. With any blank backed team issues the only problem with authentication is pinpointing the date, but with this example that is not a problem! The photo has an ink signature on the front which is secretarial, but that actually helps pinpoint the date of the image to the early 1950's as the batboy who did the signing on this photo only operated from 1950-1953 (as per a PSA Autograph Expert). As such, we have here a photo that despite being blank backed, should fit within the 2 year window for PSA authentication!
