Large 1945 photograph of Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg taking batting practice before the start of the World Series and being swarmed by photographers! Recently returned from the War, Greenberg was a hero in both the baseball world and from his fighting during WWII, he was by many accounts the most famous player in the world and everyone wanted a piece of him! A nice specimen with a small cluster of creases on the lower right corner, this is one of his best photographs we have offered!
