Large c. 1932 portrait photograph of Washington Senators Hall of Famer Sam Rice as he sits on a park bench for s special sitting that was done by Underwood and Underwood. It is unknown why the photographer chose this setting for a series of portraits of baseball's best players, but this is a popular and large issue that presents here in great shape. Definitely an Underwood image with part of their stamp embedded in the negative, this was issued through the American League Service Bureau and stamped on the back.
