Late 1930's horizontal photograph of baseball Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander who had turned to performing at a flea circus as a way to make money when times got tough. Posing in front of his marquee advertising his appearance, this is a really poignant and touching image that speaks to the fleeting nature of fame. A fine condition image that presents well with a stamp on the back from the International News.
