Beautiful 1927 photograph of young Mel Ott of the New York Giants in full uniform. He was signed by John McGraw as a teenager, knowing he was not ready for the big leagues, but to prevent other teams from snatching up his talent… and it works! Stamped on the back from the International News and although this is a c. 1950 restrike, it presents really well and looks and feels like an original.
