1924 Original action photograph of a young rookie hot shot named Lewis Wilson being brushed back off the plate during a game from early in his career. He would learn the ropes of how to be a big leaguer, adopt a cool new nickname, and end up as one of the greatest hitters of all time, but when Charles Conlon snapped this photo from his first year in the big leagues, "Hack" Wilson was just trying to survive! This is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen and it comes with nice notes and identification on the back by Charles Conlon! Paper caption is from later and does belong with this photo, but they were put together at the Baseball magazine years ago so we are including it to the new owner as well. Condition is nice overall with note to pinholes at the corners from publication nearly 100 years ago.
