1922 Portrait photograph of Wally Pipp who seemed to be destined to anchor the first base position for the Yankees for years to come, but would gain for fame for being replaced by Lou Gehrig in 1925 than his solid numbers as a player. Issued by Pacific and Atlantic and stamped on the back, this image was used for several publications and even baseball cards like his W503 issue! Condition and quality are both quite nice and this is one of the better Pipp images we have handled.
