1910 Candid photograph of three members of the Philadelphia Athletics in Cuba for a series against the top players of the island as they pose with a horse and are labeled the "Cuban Bandits." The image is from one of the players scrapbooks and it includes Hall of Famer Eddie Plank, Rube Oldring and Dan Murphy. A unique piece of baseball history, this is being offered here for the first time ever and it grades a perfect 10/10. It is interesting to note that this series in 1910 was one of the seminal moments in baseball integration as Plank and the Athletics were manhandled by their Cuban opponents and the fear of what lay ahead set race relations back in the world of baseball for years! Postcard size photo has some light scrapbook paper on the back which can be removed and this presents beautifully.
