One of the most storied ballparks to ever house a major league game is the legendary Huntington Avenue Grounds in Boston. Site of the first World Series in 1903 and the home of the famed "Royal Rooters", images of this ballpark are extremely rare with this being one of the top examples we have ever seen in any form. The field is teeming with fans and reporters and the game is about to take place and while the photo was taken at a distance capturing all the action, the clarity is such that all the advertising and scoreboard can be clearly seen. Taken about 1904, the advertising could lead to a fun research project for the new owner as newspaper accounts and photo records could possibly even date this to the exact day of the game! Of particular note among the local Boston advertisers is a HUGE Bull Durham sign in the outfield and even a "Nuf Ced" billboard harkening to the greatest fan in Boston history. This is a special piece of baseball history!
