Large 1943 photograph of the St. Louis Browns, perennial doormats of the American League who were showing signs of life. They would win 72 games and lay the groundwork for the next season in which they would win 89 and take the pennant for the first time in decades! Taken by George Dorrill and stamped on the front, the photo also carries a huge paper caption on the back listing all the players as well. Photo presents well with a crease on the upper left corner.
