1928 Large and iconic photograph of members of the New York Yankees in uniform plugging Al Smith for President of the United States. Smith was the current governor of New York but had much bigger ambitions and he enlisted the help of the most famous New Yorkers to his cause, the Yankees. Led by hunchback batboy Eddie Bennett and followed by Babe Ruth, this is quite the assemblage of stars! Each is holding a bat with a letter that spells "For Al Smith", the group also includes Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs and others. An artistic photo that we have never seen before, this was issued by the International News and carries their stamp on the back. This is the first example of this photo we have ever seen and it is famous for its influence both in the sports and political realms!
