1946 Incredibly early photograph of young Ed "Whitey" Ford receiving a trophy from Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville a full four years before he himself would make it to the big leagues and five years before his rookie card! This is the earliest image of Ford that we have ever seen in uniform and although it was issued in 1950 (off the original negative) this is still within the five years to be a vintage 1.
