1954 Silver gelatin team photograph of the Washington Senators from spring training before the start of the season. Not a good team by any stretch of the imagination, this assemblage holds a place in history as the first squad that a young Harmon Killebrew would play for on his way to the Hall of Fame. Only months removed from High School in Payette, Idaho, this is the earliest image of the slugger we have ever seen. Standing prominently at the upper left corner, the photograph is a bold and clean original from photographer Don Wingfield and stamped on the back with his name and the entire lineup as well.
