1928 Silver gelatin photograph of the New York Yankees in uniform and taken during Spring Training in St. Petersburg, Florida. Led by Babe Ruth (top row center) and Lou Gehrig (top row far right messing with a teammate) these boys were trying to build off their iconic season from the previous year in which they became the greatest team of all time. Taken by the famed Thorne Studios, this is a completely vintage example that is stamped on the back. This is also a special piece as it comes directly from Hall of Famer Stan Coveleskie's scrapbook and was owned by a member of the team! Thorne images are always among the most desirable Yankees items and this is a fantastic piece!
