Exciting 1912 double weight rookie photograph of Buck Weaver, famous Chicago White Sox player and ultimately tragic figure who was banished from the game he loved. Silver gelatin studio photograph issued by De Haven of Chicago is beautiful and bold. The White Sox used the same uniforms from 1912-13 so this could conceivably be from either year and the file mark of 1916 on the back is only when the newspaper filed the image and not when it was made. Of the highest quality and nice condition, this is quite possibly the nicest photograph of Buck Weaver in the hobby!
