1903 Portrait photograph of Cincinnati Reds catcher Billy Bergen. When the Cleveland Plain Dealer wanted to run a story on Bergen who had been traded to Brooklyn, they only had this image in their files… so they improvised! In what could be considered "1904 photoshop" an artist skillfully used paint to make a complete team change on the photograph! An incredible and unique piece of baseball history, this is one of the most interesting team changes we have ever seen!
