Much is made of the famous last appearance at Yankee Stadium of Babe Ruth, complete with a Pulitzer Prize winning image and folklore involving the bat he leaned on etc. While just as important symbolically, here we see Ruth saying goodbye to the place it all started, Fenway Park in Boston. This is an image we have never seen before and honestly, an event that we had never really thought about until this photograph was found. Why is his farewell to Boston not publicized or ramticized more? Who knows, but we can say with assurity that this photo while not as important, is many times rarer than his goodbye to Yankee fans. Condition and quality make this a perfect 10/10!
