Large 1912 (possibly early 1913) photograph of the greatest athlete in the world, Jim Thorpe as he lets the discus fly at a meet from shortly after the Olympic Games. This is a George Grantham Bain image that was restruck off the original negative in the late 1930's and presents here on double weight paper in fantastic original condition. One of Thorpe's most iconic images ever taken, this is one of the few we have ever seen from his lifetime!
