Taken about 1930, this portrait photograph of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig is instantly recognizable as one of his best and most famous. It was used to make his 1932 US Caramel baseball card and has been featured in numerous other publications. While this example is a re-strike from the 1950's, it is still a nearly seventy year old example and is one of the only examples we have seen in any form.
