A little known fact in baseball history is that in the pre-Castro era there was a minor league baseball team in Cuba! The "Havana Cubans" played in the Florida International League and they were REALLY good! They won the league title in each of their first five years as an organization and deserve to be better known today. The offered 1948 photograph from a local photographer shows the championship cup being presented on the field surrounded by players from Havana and also other teams from the league.
