Joe DiMaggio was quite a hitter and in 1940 he completely took over the spotlight for the Yankees after the retirement of Lou Gehrig. The offered photograph shows him accomplishing a rare feat for any ballplayer as he touches home after belting a grand slam homer against the Cleveland Indians. DiMaggio only belted 13 grand slams in his career making this a rare image in great shape, issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
