The 1927 Yankees were the greatest team in baseball history, but the Pirates were no slouch either. All things "Murderers Row" are highly sought after with images from the World Series itself coveted by collectors. This is an important image we have never seen before showing the two Hall of Fame owners greeting each other before the first game of the series. Barney Dreyfuss of the Pirates and Jacob Ruppert of the Yankees exchange pleasantries but secretly, they both wanted to take the other guy down! This is the only image of Ruppert and Dreyfuss together from the World Series we have ever seen and is displays beautifully with an October 1927 date on the back!
