Intense portrait photograph of the 1919 Reds Pitching Ace Harry "Slim" Sallee. Taken during his final season of 1921 by noted photographer Bob Dorman and stamped on the back. Sallee was a dominant pitcher during his prime and a key figure for the Reds World Series victory over the Chicago "Black Sox" less than two years earlier. Portrait is so detailed that individual strands of hair and the slightest wrinkles from countless hours playing baseball in the sun can easily be seen by the naked eye. One of the best portrait photographs of any player from the era you will ever find, and in nice shape with a few pinholes at the corners and a small corner crease.
