1921 Photograph of a relatively young Herb Pennock as he toiled away for the Boston Red Sox. While they had been dominant a few years earlier (1918) the sale of Babe Ruth and others left the youngsters like Pennock without much support and it showed. While he would have some huge years in New York with the Yankees, Pennock was just learning how to be a starter at the major league level when this image was taken. Issued by the Keystone View Company and stamped on the back, this presents well with note to a crease on the far left side and a few pinholes.
