One of the best players that is not in the Baseball Hall of Fame from the deadball era is George Burns from the New York Giants. With over 2000 hits, 383 Stolen Bases and a nearly .300 career average, the numbers are there. He was one of the true stars of the early Giants teams that went to three World Series in 8 years. The offered photograph might be the best one of him on the planet! A large, crystal clear silver gelatin beauty from 1912 (his second season in the majors but still considered a rookie at the time) it presents not only a great image of Burns but also the classic Giants uniform of the era. Condition is very nice with one pinhole at the top and bottom borders and this is almost certainly a unique image.
