Very interesting image of the great 19th Century star Jack Glasscock wearing a 1927 Cleveland Indians jersey. Well past his playing days Glasscock still looks the part as he appears to be demonstrating how they used to do it before the days of gloves. This is the first time we have ever seen this image of Glasscock. Glasscock played in the major leagues from 1879-1895 amassing over 2,000 hits and is one of the small handful of players always in the conversation as a possible future Hall of Fame member. Glasscock began his career in 1879 playing for Cleveland until jumping to the "outlaw" Union Association in 1884. Overall the photo is in very nice condition with minor handling wear with a small tear on right border that does nothing to distract from the great image. Light Cleveland News stamp on back to go along with a May 20, 1927 file stamp.
