Large 1950-51 action photograph of young Kansas City Monarchs pitcher Frank Barnes in uniform. He would later become the property of the New York Yankees as the first African American in their system. A fantastic player who pitched nearly twenty years in professional baseball, this is the only image of Barnes as a Negro Leaguer we have ever seen and it presents here in perfect condition.
