On August 29, 1934 a hefty crowd of 32,000 showed up at Shibe Park to watch the young American League pitching sensation Schoolboy Rowe attempt to win his 17th consecutive game for a new record. They were disappointed despite the home team winning as history would not be made this day as the Athletics would win in a run away 13-5. A nice image with tremendous detail as these fans showed up to watch some history at the ballpark.
