1937 Photograph showing the Iron Horse Lou Gehrig knocked out and laying unconscious on his back after being tagged hard on the temple by Lyn Lary of the Cleveland Indians. A scary moment, taken two years before Gehrig would be diagnosed with ALS and when he was still known as the toughest man in the game, this seemed like his consecutive game streak could be in jeopardy. Gehrig would recovery and keep his streak alive, but this photo is a nice reminder at how amazing his streak of 2130 actually was!
