1942 Photograph of the changing of the guard in the American League as the biggest slugger of the previous era Jimmie Foxx poses with young mega-star Ted Williams (fresh off his .406 season) in the Red Sox dugout. Foxx would soon be out of the game and Williams would be off at seasons end to fight in WWII making this a rare collaboration of the two stars in uniform! Interesting to note that this is from Williams' own estate and the black paper on the back is from removal out of the Hall of Famers scrapbook by his daughter. Condition and quality are outstanding!
