Large 1940 photograph of the stacked lineup of sluggers that led the Detroit Tigers to the World Series against the Cincinnati Reds. While the Tigers would lose in seven games, their stars made quite an imposing figure in the batters box. Led by superstar Hank Greenberg in his last full season before WWII, the photo also includes Dick Bartell, Rudy York and others. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
